Prayer for Pope Francis

Loving God,

We ask you to look with favor on your servant Francis, whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd.
As Francis faces this recent illness,
help the doctors and nurses who care for him.
Help him to bear any pain with grace and help him to heal quickly.
May Pope Francis recover to good health so that he may continue
to serve with zeal and wisdom and charity for all of us.
We pray that the Lord, in His kindness, will bring him back to health.
