With a mission of promoting strong and vibrant Catholic schools that are accessible to everyone, the CEF is a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to families in the Diocese of Joliet. The program is open to K-12 students with demonstrated financial need who are currently enrolled or applying for the next school year at any CEF-supported Catholic school within the Diocese of Joliet. 

The standard CEF scholarship is $1,000 per student. Additional K-8 assistance is available to Latinx families who qualify. The CEF receives more than 3,000 applications each year and awarded more than 1,700 scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year.
